Caramelized Salmon with Sea Bacon

Caramelized Salmon with Sea Bacon

A delicious salmon with the flavors of maple syrup and sea bacon for a perfect harmony between land and sea
- 454 g salmon (cut into fillets)
- 1 pinch of Fleurde sel from the fisherman An Ocean of Flavors
- 6 parsnips
- butter (for cooking, can be replaced with coconut oil)
Sauce
- 250 ml maple syrup
- 60 ml of water
- 10 g Sea Bacon Flakes An Ocean of Flavors
In a saucepan, bring the maple syrup, water and flaked sea bacon to a boil.
Cook without stirring until the mixture turns golden brown. Let stand until serving.
Season the salmon with fisherman's fleur de sel and cook it in a pan with butter for 10 minutes, turning it halfway through cooking.
Cut the parsnips into pieces
Cook the parsnip pieces in a pan with butter until they have a soft consistency.
Serve the salmon and parsnips with the sauce
You can serve the whole thing with a small salad or, like us, with a delicious beetroot and ginger sauerkraut from Tapp products for an even more Gaspé recipe.
