Salmon sashimi with nori seaweed

A disarmingly simple recipe, yet...perfectly delicious! Featured by Philippe Mollé in the newspaper Le Devoir.

  • 300g fresh Atlantic salmon
  • 10g dried nori seaweed powder An Ocean of Flavors
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 3 tbsp uncolored pickled ginger
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp wasabi (or to taste)
  • 3 tbsp young shoots ((cress, peas, corn))
  1. In a bowl, mix the lime juice with the seaweed powder, wasabi, and soy sauce. Add the ginger, cut into very fine strips.

  2. Cut very thin slices of salmon and immerse them in the marinade for 2 minutes. Arrange the young shoots in the center of the plates and garnish all around with the marinated fish slices.

This recipe can be made with any other fish, such as yellowfin tuna, mahi-mahi, or even mackerel.
