Lise Laflamme's Wakame Salad

We're always happy when our customers share their favorite recipes made with our seaweed! Here's Lise Laflamme's: a Wakame salad made from different recipes she found online.

For the salad

  • 25 g of Wakame seaweed An Ocean of flavors
  • 1 carrot (grated)
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 1 small red onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp ginger (very finely chopped)
  • toasted sesame seeds (to taste)

For the dressing

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey
  • juice of ½ lime
  1. Soak the seaweed in warm water for 15 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, prepare the other ingredients "For the salad" and mix well.

  3. Drain the seaweed and cut it into thin strips. Add it to the vegetable mixture and mix well.

  4. Mix all the ingredients "For the dressing"

  5. Pour over the seaweed and mix well.

  6. When serving, add the toasted sesame seeds.

It is suggested to prepare the salad 1 to 2 hours before serving. Add the sesame seeds only just before serving to keep them crispy.
