Brie with Kombu and Maple Caramelized Apples

Cheese, apples, maple, and seaweed! We couldn't dream of anything better! Thank you, Dorothée L'épicurienne !
- 1 Quebec brie cheese (approximately 300g)
- 1 medium Gala apple
- 1 dash of fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp maple sugar
- 1 tsp. Kombu flakes An Ocean of Flavors
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Carefully cut the brie into 2 equal parts across the thickness and set aside.
Peel and core the apple. Slice into thin slices and drizzle with a little lemon juice.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter and add the apple slices. Sprinkle with maple sugar and caramelize without burning for about 5 minutes. Set aside.
In an ovenproof container, place the 2 parts of the brie, creamy sides upwards, and sprinkle with the Un Océan de Saveurs Kombu flakes .

Add the caramelized apple slices and close the brie.
Bake for about 12 minutes, or until the cheese is hot.
